Band-Aids, Bullets, and Broken Hearts

Read the article by John Cory, freelance writer and decorated Vietnam veteran, including the Purple Heart. It's about the hilarious Republican joke at their convention. Remember the band-aids with the purple hearts on them? It was so funny. Funny like death is funny.

Do they have no decency? Rather than talking about the issues and what their party stands for in this election, they spent time mocking John Kerry. Did you see the "Flip-Flop" games they played? It was elementary school all over again. There are some things that are off-limits. A dead or wounded soldier is one of them.

The Republicans are going to need more than band-aids to stem the bleeding of votes on November 2nd. There's a big gash where Americans are flowing toward the Kerry campaign.
