George, You're No Forest Gump

Those of you who check out BuzzFlash from time to time (or daily!) know that sometimes a BuzzFlash reader will write a short article. Here's one entitled "Don't Insult Forest Gump."

The reader urges BuzzFlash to retract a headline comparing W. to Forest Gump and to offer an apology to Forest and all Vietnam vets who volunteered to serve while Bush was boozing and carousing safely at home.

"To paraphrase Lloyd Bentson, distinguished former Senator from Texas, 'I know Forest Gump, and George W. Bush is no Forest Gump.' "
