The Senate Votes No on Homeland Security

Where did the idea come from that our government is doing all it can to protect us here at home? Well, from Bill Frist, for starters. Our disingenuous Senate Majority leader. He is the head lying liar, the top deceiver of the Senate, the mis-leader who wields tremendous power over our lives. What devastation has he presided over this week? Read on:

Senate conservatives (or so they are called) killed a series of amendments to the 2003 Homeland Security spending bill. These amendments sought to increase 2005 funding for maritime safety, emergency personnel, and air, rail, and chemical security. The total bill for these vital, extra security measures was less than $20 billion- a fraction of the $145 billion spent on Bush's illegal war in Iraq.

Some voters favor Bush because they think he will protect us. Why do they think this? He gives aid and comfort to terrorists on a regular basis. A vote for Bush is a vote for continued fear and perpetual war.

President Kerry will help us begin our recovery. Don't be stupid! [Sorry to use such a word!] Kerry is the intelligent choice- the only intelligent choice. People, voting for John Kerry is crucial.
